World's Oldest Living Cat Turns 32

We are so happy to wish Rubble, the world's oldest living cat, another happy birthday because he just turned 32!

Rubble hit the 30 milestone two-years-ago in May 2018. According to his Wikipedia page, as of January 3rd, 2020, Rubble is still around and still holding the title for the world's oldest living cat.

Due to his old age, Rubble does not need an extravagant celebration anymore, and he especially doesn't want to be surrounded by a lot of people. Too many people and too much noise would stress out any cat, let alone a senior cat.

Instead, Rubble had his 30th birthday at the vet's office, where he enjoyed some Felix cat food and Whiskas Catmilk and was gifted a free check-up and one-months worth of medications. According to Dr. Shaun Moore, Rubble's veterinarian, Rubble is still in remarkably good health.

So how does Rubble's mother, Michelle Foster, plan on celebrating Rubble's 32nd birthday? The same as last year, in a non-stressful environment.

"He is old now and would not like too much attention or be hassled," Foster said. "We would prefer if he was just left to live out his old age in peace," Foster added.

We can definitely appreciate that! We wish you a peaceful and wonderful birthday, Rubble! Check out some pics of the handsome Rubble below!

You thought Guitar Hero was dead, but nope. It's kind of remarkable that people are still doing this. We remember being afraid of this song at regular speed, but these modified attempts are amazing, and frankly kind of scary.

France Refuses To Call Off World’s Largest Gathering Of Smurfs Amid Coronavirus

As Coronavirus keeps spreading, much of the world seems to be in panic mode, mass quarantining and buying supermarkets out of toilet paper and hand sanitizer. Essentially, the world is collapsing in on itself. But amid the madness, France had other plans, deciding that going ahead with holding the world's largest smurf gathering was worth risking the spread of a deadly pandemic. Yes, you read that correctly; a small northwestern French town did not let Coronavirus stop them from hosting this important and essential event. "We must not stop living," Patrick Leclerc, the mayor of Landerneau, said, followed by "It was the chance to say that we are alive." Well ok then. When in France, I guess! Here are some reactions to a video of the event, as broadcasted by AFP News Agency on Monday and it's safe to say that the world is not impressed.

Cheetah Breaks Record And Gives Birth To 8 Healthy Cubs

Bingwa, the 4-year old St. Louis Zoo cheetah, has more than just lived up to her name. "Bingwa" in Swahili means "champion" and what a more than fit name for the new mother of 8 cubs! What makes this so amazing is that, this is the first time a cheetah has given birth to eight adorable cubs at a zoo! Quite the accomplishment! (The average litter size is three to four cubs)

Meet The Domestic Cat With The Longest Tail In The World

On Thursday, Guinness World Records released the 63rd edition of its famous book of feats and firsts. Among the new honorees is Cygnus who is officially the domestic cat with the longest tail, carrying around a feather duster-like appendage that measures 17.58  inches. Cygnus lives with two other cats, Arcturus and Sirius, an F2 Savannah and a Marble bengal, and his dad says they love each other. That's one impressive feline.

If you're going to sign yourself up for skiing down an impossibly overcrowded mountain for the sake of chasing down a world record; it might as well look like you're at the beach while you're at it right? The footage for their attempt turned out pretty damn awesome as well!

I've never grasped how one goes about performing this impressive move without proceeding to eliminate armies of necessary brain cells. Dude, I've had a hard enough time managing to crush beer cans with my forehead on the rowdier, booze-soaked weekends of my life.
