Last April, Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter confirmed that the script for a third Bill and Ted movie was underway, and now it appears that the screenplay is finished and both of the movie's original stars find it most excellent.

In a recent interview with The Independent, Reeves said, "Yeah, we have a script. We're trying to put it together. It's a good script, too."

Winter concurred, tweeting, "Script done? Check. We love it? Check. Green light? Working on it!"

As for the plot, the most recent update came from an MTV interview with Reeves last year:

When we last got together, part of it was that Bill and Ted were supposed to have written the song that saved the world, and it hasn't happened. So they've now become kind of possessed by trying to do that. Then there's an element of time and they have to go back.

Hopefully, the Wyld Stallyns will be most triumphant in their attempts to get the threequel made.
