Woman Gets a Free Sailboat Off of Facebook, Shares Amazing DIY Transformation and Goes Viral

Many people out there have the dream to own a sailboat. Some want one to travel the sea, others just want it as a perfect vessel to escape on for day trips near the shore where they live. But we all know that boats are friggin' expensive. They're usually just a luxury for the rich or retired who saved up for half their life for it. Well, TikToker Alison recently came across a free 25-foot Catalina Sailboat through a boating group on Facebook and it actually rules. 

How She Got a Free Sailboat

Alison said she has always been a big boat enthusiast and kept tabs on different boating groups based off of local boating communities close to her. She's often noticed people trying to give away boats for free, but usually the amount of expensive repairs that need to be done make it not worth it. However, she recently came across her now-sailboat when someone said they had a working boat that needed minor fixes and a good scrub. She investigated and BAM she got a sick free sailboat!

Now she's sharing her DIY adventure of fixing up this free boat on TikTok and boaters are obsessed. It's simply amazing to find a sailboat for free that's actually worth it, so being able to share this amazing once in a lifetime experience through Alison's TikToks is really rubbing everybody the right way. Even her fluffy white dog Mochi enjoys the boat, even though he's a tad afraid of the dock and still hasn't made friends with the seals he so desperately wants to be friends with. She hasn't quite revealed what she intends to do with the boat once it's fully fixed up and ready to rumble, but her passion is palpable and fellow boaters on TikTok wish her well and provide helpful advice for her journey.
