Karens. Oh Karens… Where do we begin? The way you aggressively insert yourself into a situation that either has nothing to do with you or that has no reason being such a dramatic situation is quite the skillset. Nobody can do it quite like a Karen. Oh, you're parked legally on the street, but that so happens to be outside the home of a Karen? Buckle up, baby.
TikToker Claire aka @clairelolzcomedy has lots of hilarious series that she does on her TikTok. Relatable skits about everyday life situations. The Karen series, however, is one of the most hilarious of the skits. If you've never encountered a Karen, then consider yourself lucky. Most of humanity who has the unfortunate lucky to have a Karen run-in know exactly what it's all about and it's the worst. Karens love to not tip, ask for the manager, get racist, just start being horrible human beings, etc.
The series initially started as a play on a “Karen Support Group" where it was set-up AA meeting style. The Karens would gather around and b*tch about what they thought was worthy to bitch about, which for Karens can be absolutely anything…
Ep 1: Karen Support Group
The Karen support group series was an instant hit on TikTok. The hilarious idea that Karens get together to feel vindicated for their awful behavior doesn't sound too far off, but it's simply hilarious to see in person. After the first several episodes, Claire changed it from “support group” to “rehab.” These Karens need a lot of work, but at least they're taking the next step into curing their Karen-ism. The support group is just part of the rehab process, so now the series get more in-depth about how these Karens are getting rehabilitated.
Ep 5: Karen Rehab
Ep 6: Karen Rehab
Ep 7: Karen Rehab
The series has the Karens going through different tests to see if they have cured themselves. The tests include being able to mind their own business, try to imagine that people have different life experiences to themselves, etc. It's so spot on—anybody who has met a Karen in real life is probably wishing this were a real thing right about now…
