Person Turns to TikTok to Call Out Infuriating Neighbor and Feel Vindicated But Viewers Call Them Out Instead

The official laws when it comes to how to care for your property differ from state to state, county to county, heck, even street to street sometimes. But TikTokers are pretty passionate about how they definitely know exactly what they are… Recently, a person turned to TikTok to call out their neighbor who kept throwing debris into their yard. The profile @newtotiktok_2022 has posted four videos so far of a neighbors taking what looks like tree debris and fallen leaves from her yard and throwing it into the TikToker's yard. She even cleans out her pool and empties out the contents of the net into the TikToker's yard. 

The first video has you thinking there is an issue here, because who would just scoop crap out of their pool and think it's ok to toss into the neighboring yard? But then the second video posted got viewers asking questions.

The second video shows a different view point of the tree in the TikToker's yard and it appears to maybe be hovering over the property line into the neighbor's yard. Many TikTokers were quick to call that out and say that it's actually the TikToker's fault for having a tree that goes into the neighbor's yard and they need to have it trimmed. When the TikToker posted another video trying to prove the tree was not hanging over the fence, viewers still say that the TikToker is still wrong and the tree is in fact still too close to the neighbor's property. 

“By law, she can cut off all the parts of the branches that hang into her yard. Be neighborly and have someone trim your tree,” one person commented. “Cut the branches back. They ARE hanging in her yard,” another person says. “If you want trees keep them under control,” another viewer added. One viewer even wrote, “My Neighbor’s tree ruin my yard. I wish I was as brave as her lol. Buddy cut back ur trees.”

Though many viewers are turning against the TikToker, some are still standing by their side. Mostly people saying that these people commenting on the side of the neighbor are overreacting. “They [trees] are literally a part of nature, what is wrong with all the people in these comments,” one person said. “Am I the only one that doesn’t mind tree debris? Like it’s a tree. It was there before my neighbor so not like they put it there on purpose 🤷🏻‍♂️,” another person added. This viewer added, “So many people nowadays have zero tolerance for anything. They go out of their way to create an issue out of the smallest thing.”

So who is the Karen in this situation? It's confusing. Is the neighbor just getting payback for the TikToker's tree hanging a little too close to her yard? Or is the TikToker right to be pissed at their neighbor for taking their yard debris and tossing it into their yard? TikTok will probably find a way to fight about this forever.
