It's impossible to predict the future, although a lot of people try (and fail). Our latest collection of hilarious photos from r/AgedLikeMilk show just how badly some things age. As badly as a cup of milk on a warm day. Have a look at last week's batch of amusing things that did not age like planned.
Translation: "2020 isn't that bad to be honest. I mean Maradona hasn't died or something like that." This Twitter user spoke too soon. A mere 13 days after this tweet was posted, globally loved Argentinian football player Diego Maradona died after suffering from heart failure. I'm guessing 2020 just got a lot worse for this Twitter user.
You're looking at an eMachine computer. Never heard of one? That's because they're obsolete now, probably to the dismay of whoever made this sticker. eMachines were a type of computer that were powerful and cheap to buy, but the catch was that they often didn't last over a year. In 2013, eMachines were discontinued. This one has definitely aged like milk.
This photo shows a group of men participating in an asbestos shoveling competition in 1962. As you can see, clouds of asbestos tailings are enveloping many of the men. It wasn't until the 1970s that asbestos was discovered to be highly carcinogenic and any exposure to it could be life threatening. Today it is banned in several dozens of countries and competitions like this definitely do not take place anymore.
This Subway worker proudly wrote 7 years ago that they helped Jared from Subway become what he is today. Jared was an overweight man who claimed that Subway helped him lose weight, and became a spokesperson for the company. While this might have been an innocent enough comment 7 years ago, in 2015 Jared was convicted for paying for sex with minors and he is serving 15 years in jail. Probably not something the Subway worker wants to take credit for.
These two cards are from Steve Jackson's Illuminati: The Game of Conspiracy, which came out in 1995. The cards depict the Two Towers and the Pentagon being "nuked" by terrorists. Much to the surprise of the game's creators, a mere 6 years later these events took place, confirming the tongue-in-cheek prediction as a real life tragedy. Be careful what you joke about.
