Parenting is quite an interesting career to take on. And yes, we call it a career because even though there is no pay, no promotions, no uniforms, or HR (unless you count your therapist), it is definitely a 24-hour demanding position in an ultra-high-paced environment. The good thing is unless you have an in-law living in with you, you don't really have to report to any higher-up manager. But then again, perhaps in this analogy, the child could both be considered as the consumer and the manager since the only way to really tell if you're doing a good job is to know that they're decently happy.

Anyway, one of the most interesting things about this ‘career’ is that you never really know how it is all going to pan out. Regardless of how you raise them, your kid can end up being shy, outgoing, a sports buff, or a fashion lover. Sure, there is the whole nature vs. nurture conversation, but this is Memebase, that's not what we do.
