Wild Thread Recounts Woman's Date Filled With Next-Level Awkwardness

Bad dates should be expected at this point in time. Whether you're meeting up with a long-time crush, an internet date, or ::shudder:: a blind date, something can always go wrong. Maybe that crush smells like spoiled milk when you get close. Perhaps the internet date is more interested in talking about themselves than getting to know you. And maybe the blind date turns out to be an octogenarian. These are all bad scenarios. But they could be much, much worse. Take this wild thread from Jessica Fox, for example. The date - with someone who seems to be from a whole different planet - was insane enough to fill up many paragraphs in her notes app.

Fortunately for Jessica, the guy doesn't seem like a bad person. Instead, the thread regales us with intensely palpable awkwardness, slapstick clumsiness, and curious behavior that really cannot be made up. As one would expect, the insanity took off on Twitter - leaving some people to wonder if the guy was actually on the spectrum. Fox has since deleted her Twitter account - probably for this reason - despite a ton of comments offering lots of insight on dating on the spectrum.
