We all have our insecurities, and we all have different ways of dealing with them. Some of us constantly put ourselves down, some of us try to work on them with therapy, and some of us take all of that negative energy and unload it onto other people in our lives. It is so exhausting being with people who need to put others down, all we can do is remind ourselves that it's their issue and not ours. Even better advice would be to remove such people from your friendship roster, they clearly take more than they add to your life. But sometimes these people are family and we are left with no choice.
