We are simple people, and we are amused by simple things. And when inanimate objects look like they have a personality, it really makes us feel something. Maybe that lemon wants to be our friend? Maybe this log invites his friends to dinner and leaves them with the bill? The personality in inanimate objects can inspire a lot of thoughts and feelings, but mostly the thought of "what's that thing looking at me? Oh it's a pile of coats."
