People who live vastly different lifestyles can pretty naturally butt heads when put together, but the key to all kinds of people cohabitating peacefully is respect on all parties. When that doesn't happen, you wind up with situations like this: Redditor u/twowaystreetaita posted to the popular subreddit r/AmITheAsshole to ask the community whether he was in the wrong for reminding his fiancé about tolerance after she expressed strong disapproval of his parents hunting for their food.
OP explains that he grew up in a small rural town and was raised rather conservatively and that his fiancé is a city kid who was raised in a significantly more diverse area. While OP said their families had gathered before with everyone getting along well, his fiancé grew openly upset about his father hunting a deer with a bow and arrow for food to feed everyone with. When OP said he pointed out that she wasn't being tolerant of his family's lifestyle choices, she grew upset. Who is the A-hole here?
