Boss Posts Unreasonable Memo Regarding Time Off, Twitter Reacts
Jobs are demanding, but should they be so demanding that employers can post memos denying their employees the ability to take time off for the holidays? If it seems like a bit much, that's because it is. People put up with a lot of unreasonable stuff just to make an income and receiving notices that pre-emptively deny time-off requests and strongly discourage employees from finding a second job are the kinds of things that could lead to stories of how people quit their jobs with no notice. When just one Twitter user posted a sign from their workplace telling employees they could not request time off during the entire holiday season, other internet users responded with similar notices from their own jobs. If there is one thing the internet is good for, it might be showing people that they're not alone in poor work environments. These kinds of workplace practices infuriate everyone from the bottom up, and for good reason.
