Ever since the dawn of time, cats have loved to sit. This is a pretty certain fact. And during the time of ancient Rome, cats would sit all over. They continue this tradition today, by roaming freely throughout all of modern-day Rome. According to the Torre Argentina Cat Sanctuary, "Torre Argentina is home to 150 feline friends, sheltered amongst the oldest temples in Rome (400-300 BC). Seven days a week volunteers, feed, clean and look after them."
This picturesque cat sanctuary situated in Roman ruins is truly a joy to see. We've written quite a bit about different paradises for cats, whether it's "Catstanbul", a cat beach in Sardinia, Italy, a rabbit island in Japan, or a village ruled by cats in Taiwan. Wherever cats are ruling the world, we want to be there. That's exactly why we're so pleased to show you some incredible photos of the Torre Argentina Roman Cat Sanctuary in Rome, Italy. Take a look:
According to the Instagram user who posted this absolutely pawmazing photo of the sanctuary, "Torre Argentina is home to 150 feline friends, sheltered amongst the oldest temples in Rome (400-300 BC). Seven days a week volunteers feed, clean and look after these cats." We would definitely believe that, given how beautiful this photo is!
Look at these pawsome kitty cats just chilling all over Rome! They're so cute and cuddly looking, it's really so nice to know that there are volunteers who feed them and take care of them. We hope these cutesy kitties keep having a ball roaming all around the Roman ruins that they inhabit so cheerily.
