It's bad enough to have a customer yell at you while you're working. It's even worse to have a customer of another retail store entirely yell at you and demand you fix their problem when you truly can't.
Reddit user u/shroutm posted to the subreddit r/IDontWorkHereLady to share exactly this kind of story. As the user explains, they work at a tool store that just so happens to be located directly next to a supply store for farms and ranches. Sure, it's the same storefront, and as the Redditor notes, both store's employees wear similar uniforms, but when an angry customer pulled up and demanded help purchasing animal bedding from the other store, u/shroutm couldn't help. That answer wasn't good enough, though, and the customer in question made a world of trouble for herself by wasting time — and her SUV's fuel and battery — by berating someone who couldn't help her in the first place. Luckily for us, the employee stuck around to watch her own comedy of errors unfold to great comedic effect.
