This husband is dissatisfied with the job that his stay-at-home wife has been doing in keeping the house clean while watching their three children. He feels that it is essential that we are aware that he is the "breadwinner" and the only thing she has to do is ensure that she has the house clean when he wants to bring his friends over on short notice.
He is embarrassed, mortified even, that his friends saw his house in an "utter mess". He points out that the guests "kept giving [him] weird looks and making indirect comments about the state of the home.". Dude, they probably felt uncomfortable at the fact that you were clearly pissed off at your wife who was so exhausted that she was sleeping upstairs when you got home.
There is no mention at all of him lending a finger to help clean up when he gets home from work. He clearly expects his wife to do everything around the house. If he's such a big shot "breadwinner" maybe he should hire a cleaner to help this poor woman out.
He needs to go join the club of idiot husbands along with this guy who wanted to cancel the prenup he demanded when his wife started making more than him.
