Jerk Husband Allows Abusive Mother-In-Law to Secretly Visit Newborn Against Wife's Wishes
When u/No-Ice512's wife was due to give birth to their first child she insisted that she did not want his mother present in the delivery room.
u/No-Ice512 admits that his mother is a "nightmare" and "always disrespecting people's boundaries while also being entitled".
He goes on to note that "[My mother] never liked my wife, not for any serious reason other than the fact that I got married and she couldn't stand seeing me moving away from her."
So, basically, u/No-Ice512's wife is entirely justified in not wanting his mother to be a part of their or their child's lives.
After admitting all of this u/No-Ice512 goes on to explain how he organized for his mother to meet the baby in secret while his postpartum wife was out. The mother knew that she was supposed to return before his wife returned but, to make matters worse, she insisted on staying and clung to the baby until the mother witnessed. Thus ensuring that she could inflict maximum emotional damage through manipulation.
When u/No-Ice512's wife returned to witness the scene and proceeded to lose it.... u/No-Ice512 then proceeded to handle the situation in the worse way...
It's really hard to see how he is going to recover from this.
