OP is an Australian woman that is trying her best to be a good host. But she has her limits. OP's friend "Josh" and his girlfriend (25F) "Sara" stayed overnight at her house in Sydney, Australia before they were all supposed to go on a big camping trip. Josh and OP are Australian. Sara is Finnish and lives in Helsinki. They were doing long distance relationship for a long time and now Sara has finally came over to Sydney on a partner visa. But it doesn't seem like she'll last there very long. OP tried to be as accommodating as she could but she was shocked by Sara's demands. When they were all getting ready for bed, Sara was complaining about how hot it was. OP laughed and said it must be because she is used to negative temperatures she's just come from. Sara asked if OP could keep the air conditioning on all night as she wouldn't be able to sleep. She said no, because that would be expensive for her. The next morning, Sara said she had a horrible sleep because it was too hot and because she had no covers on she also got bitten by mosquitoes. OP sympathized but said that she'd better get used to it because she's about to be camping. OP said this in a lighthearted way but Sara apparently thought it was extremely rude. Later, Josh texted saying she should have been more accommodating. It's been a week now and Josh is still acting cold towards OP. She thought she was justified but now thinks she might be in the wrong. Help her and the moral judges of Reddit to decide.
We didn't know folks from Finland needed to be so dang cold.
