Karen Chastises Neighbor For Letting His Dog Outside For 20 Mins Without Food And Water

Is it just us, or are Karens getting bolder and more entitled by the day? On today's episode of 'Karen is an entitled no good rotten a-hole,' we have a classic example of someone feeling WAY too comfortable telling others what to do, and someone feeling WAY too comfortable trespassing on another person's property. The original poster of this thread describes a situation in which they let the doggo out for around 20 mins at a time to go to the bathroom and get some fresh air. During these short periods of time the dog is left outside without food or water, despite the intention of the outing being purely for bathroom relief purposes.

All of a sudden, out of nowhere, neighbor 'Karen' inserts herself and her into the situation unnecessarily. According to OP: "This just happened, a neighbor of mine sent their kid over and let my dog off his runner because 'he had no food or water…'When I finally got him back my neighbor smugly said that I should take better care of him if I don't want him running off like that." 

We were speechless after reading about this disgusting incident of a person being plain old nasty to a neighbor. It clearly did not stem from a place of real concern for the dog, seeing as Karen instructed her child to simply release the dog to the open as opposed to taking him in or just bringing him a bowl of water. It's the AUDACITY, for us.  Some people are just out to make trouble, we refer to them here at Cheezburger as 'Karens.'     Font - This just happened, a neighbor of mine sent their kid over and let my dog off his runner because "he had no food or water" I'm furious because I just had to go to the ER yesterday and I need to be on bed rest, instead I had to chase my dog for blocks while trying to gasp for air.

    DUDE. OP should have been in bed healing mentally and physically from a stressful ER visit but instead, they were forced to chase their dog for blocks which took who knows how long and left OP exasperated. And this happened all because Karen decided it was a good idea to have her kid run over and let the dog off of its runner. For what reason? He didn't have food or water, while outside, during his 20 minute bathroom relief outing. TF?

I told her that he has scheduled feeding times (I used to have one of those gravity feeders and he would just eat until he's sick and was getting to an unhealthy weight, vet told me to feed him on a schedule) and always has water and snacks available inside.     OP, don't even stress over this Karen. you sound like an excellent dog parent and when push comes to shove, she was in the wrong here. She literally ordered her kid to trespass on your property, which is cause enough for legal action.

    Font - She told me that the next time she sees him outside she'll do the same thing and call animal control. I admit I lost my temper a bit and told her if she does I'll call the cops and if anything happens to my boy I'll sue her for vet bills or whatever. She said I don't deserve a dog if I won't take care of him. I grabbed my boy and brought him inside. He's now snuggled up under the blankets with me napping. He and his brother are like my babies, I didn't think leaving him out in mild weathe

    Font - voluntoldwife ·6 days ago No, you're NTA. You let your dog out to relieve himself, etc. - he'll be fine for 20 minutes. Does your neighbor pack herself a lunch and a water bottle when she goes to the restroom? Be on the safe side and document when you let your dog out and when you let him in so if your unhinged neighbor does call animal control you can give them accurate information. Better yet, get an inexpensive security camera and aim it at the dog. Send your neighbor a certified lette

    Font - ohsogreen · 6 days ago Asshole Enthusiast [5] She was not hoping he'd drink from a ditch or anywhere. She was being nasty to make a point. She wanted to hurt you. I still advise calling the cops but short term put out a bowl, weight it with large clean rocks so he doesn't tip it and photograph it. And, if you're able, sit by the door while he is out for the next few times with your phone in your hand. Record them if they come over and tell them clearly they are trespassing and get off you

If she was concerned, all she had to do was POLITELY come over or call and make sure everything was ok before making such ridiculous assumptions. She had no idea what the situation was.
