Hey folks. How are we doing? Well, we're a bit frustrated honestly. And you'll soon understand exactly why. Before we get into the thick of things, we want to get one thing clear here straight from the get-go. In order to think it is appropriate to request from a host that the host will restrict his or her animals JUST to accommodate the personal preferences of guests, someone really must live in a parallel universe where the sun revolves only around themselves. This sentiment is absolutely ridiculous. Non-pet-owning humans need to understand- our pets are our family. Our home is their home, and just like we humans want to feel comfortable in our homes, so do our pets.
Now imagine our frustration when along comes a Karen-Esque sister-in-law, who while staying with her siblings develops a problem. What is the problem you ask? Well, the original poster's cat 'scared' Karen just by existing. Karen's grand solution? Keep the cats restricted to one specific area of the house, far away from the guest room. OP's solution? Keep the guest room door closed so the cats cannot go in and potentially 'scare' Karen. But OP is the one being unreasonable here right? WRONG. We can't human today y'all, the AUDACITY is too strong.
Nah, those cats deserve to feel comfortable in their home. Simple as that.
Poor lil fluffy booboo.
"When she saw the door was open, she went in to investigate, and when they went back upstairs to go to bed she got scared, ran out, and scared them(she's dark-colored so kind of blends in with the shadows)."
"She said I should keep the cats in a separate part of the house so they wouldn't go near the room."
Take a hike, Karen. There are plenty of hotels with open space.
