How many of you see a cute dog passing by and are immediately drawn towards him? You find yourself getting closer and closer until you are right next to this doggo. As you extend your hand in an attempt to pat just a little bit of this doggo's super impressive coat of adorable floof, his owner stops you right there. 'Excuse me, I would really appreciate it if you consulted me first before petting my dog. He can be very anxious and does not always respond well to strangers.'
And you're like, oh sh*t, he's so right. This brings us to today's Reddit discussion: Parents should encourage their children to ask permission from dog owners before petting their dogs. It's just basic courtesy. Most of the time the answer will be yes! Well, this is the case when normal, sane, non-Karens are involved. When a Karen gets involved, things get ugly. According to the original poster of this Reddit thread, a wild Karen appeared before her in the supermarket after Karen's kid attempted to pet OP's dog without permission. The Karen appeared and surprise! She made a scene! What is it with these ridiculous women and their disgusting entitlement? Keep that sh*t far away from us and our dogs. We are not about those bad vibes.
If you ask us, nah.
DOGGY.
The moment it all went downhill.
"I got annoyed because nobody asked ME if I am allowing the interaction and called my dog between my legs. I told her he cannot be petted and she just assumed the dog was aggressive. She grabbed the kid and asked me what I have done to the poor animal. I was confused and attempted to walk away, but she stepped in front of me and kept demanding an explanation as to why the dog cannot be petted what did I do to it, why was it even in a supermarket to begin with."
Nobody owes you jack squat, Karen.
