Almost anyone who has raised children will admit that much of the battle is trying to keep your little darlings out of danger. The endless curiosity and complete lack of common sense that accompanies most young kids can lead to a hell of a lot of (sometimes literally) sticky situations that it is the responsible adult's job to try and prevent.
It's only natural that when faced with this never-ending task, nobody is going to have a 100% success rate. As well as this, every parent needs a way to unwind from it all now and then. However, it's not every day that these two factors go hand in hand, as one embarrassed dad had to deal with recently when on an outing with his four-year-old triplets.
Sharing his blunder to r/tifu, he explained how we had taken them all to watch a movie in order to give his partner a break. He decided he wanted to drink a half bottle of wine during the film, but it came in the same plastic cups that his kids were drinking from — which led to a catastrophic mix up in the dark.
It would seem like he wasn't alone in making this mistake, with fellow Redditors sharing their own tales of kids who couldn't resist a sip of the forbidden juice. While it certainly isn't an example of great parenting, these things do happen from time to time.
