Across pretty much every industry, if the people who do a particular job tell you that something isn't going to work, it's most likely in your best interest to listen to them. This was the case with a new boss who insisted on using a terrifically inefficient GPS system, then actively punished employees who wouldn't use it. So what happens when management insists on work being inefficient? Well, things get more inefficient of course. It's one of those screw ups that almost solves itself.
Evidently this guy was even worse than they thought, having gotten fired later not just for incompetence, but corruption. How the hell do these kinds of people keep being put in charge of employees? All of the wrong people are lying to get jobs.
