There are so many ways to be a meme. Sometimes it comes in the form of a person, whose actions or words get immortalized by the cruel and unforgiving gaze of the internet. Other times, it involves a new kind of concept or idea of which we have never seen the likes of before. More often than not, though, a meme is just a thought that a bored person with too much time on their hands and basic Photoshop skills has decided they want to put into the public forum for our sweet, sweet approval.
Whatever form that memeing takes, there's no doubting the impact it has on us all. We may judge and complain about everything that saunters into our vicinity and claims to be a meme, but it doesn't stop us coming back for more. They must put something addictive in these things, because it doesn't look like we're going to stop looking at them any time soon.
