The working week often doesn't get off to the greatest of starts under normal circumstances, but there's something extra upsetting about clocking in the week after getting a three day weekend. After a tiny, blissful reminder of what it would be like if we could work less and spend more time doing the things that we actually want to do, we're forced right back into the depressing reality of the forty hour plus work week. On top of that, we only get the privilege of being miserable about such things if we work a job that allows us to have bank holidays. The whole damn thing doesn't bear thinking about at length, but at least we get the opportunity to complain about it via memes. While they might not solve our post-holiday blues, they do make them a lot easier to deal with when we haven't got any other alternative.
First time, eh?
The eternal paradox.
In your dreams.
This Taco Bell habit doesn't pay for itself.
Not pictured: the percentage of internal exasperated sighs.
We never learn.
Breaktime small talk just got a hell of a lot juicier.
Living the dream…
Hahahaha, feels great!!
They're a different breed.
Make no mistake, nothing productive is happening here.
I don't have the stamina for this.
Still better than sitting in an office cubicle five days a week.
Beyond pumped.
Not contributing to that second-rate hamper situation any time soon.
