When you're a kid, the world is a miraculous place. Around every corner there's another discovery to be made. That's why we used to love doing science projects. You combine a couple liquids from the kitchen, some soap from the bathroom– and you usually just wind up with goop. Sidebar, please don't let your kids play with household chemicals, it is way too easy to make the wrong mix. Anyway, back to the topic at hand, sometimes with the right help from an adult, kids can see incredible demonstrations of the wonders of science firsthand. That's why this AITA post on Reddit has us laughing so hard. OP is a mom who let her son make a baking soda volcano in the yard, and the results were no Pompeii, but it's definitely not what anybody wanted.
The family has a shared yard, and their neighbors have a habit of letting their new puppy out off the leash. So, on the day of this science experiment, it's no surprise that the puppy was also curiously running around and checking out the family's new toy. Mom tried her best to keep the dog away. But, once the toddler set things in motion, and the volcano began to erupt, the dog couldn't contain his excitement anymore. As blue lava spewed out of the behemoth, the dog ran amok and wound up dyed in food coloring! Then, he was leaving blues clues all over the place, and the neighbors got upset at OP for letting it happen. We wish OP had uploaded the video of it all going down, but, we can pretty much imagine the scene. Plus, you're not going to believe what all of these Redditors had to say about the hilarious situation. Check it out down below!
This kid loves blue lava, if it were green he would probably die, da ba dee ba. Sorry, but seriously, this sounds like an awesome experiment! And it's no surprise that the dog wanted in on the action either. Here's what we don't understand though– where were the neighbors while all of this awesome stuff was going on in their backyard?
We can't get the image of those little white socks all painted blue now. The dog is probably pretty confused too, but it's just harmless food coloring so he'll be find in the end. From our point of view, it really doesn't seem like OP is the AH here. But, we do have one more question. When did the neighbors find out about the blue paws? He didn't jump on the couch, did he?
