Good Boy Labrador Retriever Competing in a Dogs Aquatic Sports Event Is Having Too Much Fun and Does Not Want to Get Out of the Pool

Dog parents of Labrador Retrievers understand—these pups love the water. Every dog is different, so I'm sure it's not every lab, but most labs absolutely love to swim and never want to stop playing in the water. This is also why they are so good for competing in aquatic sports for dogs. They are great at retrieving in water, like what they were bred to do, so there are events for these swimming pups where they compete to see who can jump in a pool, swim, and retrieve the item the fastest.

A woman was attending one of these events recently with the organization “Dock Dogs” for Dock Jumping and Dock Diving. One Labrador Retriever may not have won the competition but he definitely won the hearts of the crowd. This pup loved the pool so much he was refusing to get out.

He had already retrieved the item and it was just about him getting out of the pool as quick as possible to return the retrieved item. However, he decided the pool was more important. So he kept psyching out the employees of the competition and would start to walk up the exit, just to turn around and jump back into the pool.

None of the humans were dressed swim, surprisingly, and so they were trying to steer the pup in the right direction using poles, but the dog was just having too much fun. He would start to follow the poles out of the pool, but then the second he got a chance, he would jump right back in. Eventually, he walks out looking very content with himself and the crowd cheering him on in giggles. Viewers are commenting in support of the water pup, saying he is the winner to them.

“He'll let you know when he's ready to come out,” one person said.

“He’s living his best life y’all leave ‘em alone,” another added.

"They are actually STILL trying to get him out today😂," someone said jokingly.
