In the original video, a guest filmed the ceremonial entry. From a silver hearse, a group of six bridesmaids and groomsmen carry a black coffin up the aisle. Then, as the crowd watches, the coffin opens and the groom climbs out.

Then, after he's carried to the altar to marry the love of his life, the bridesmaids and groomsmen waited hesitantly in front of the coffin…

And a man helps the groom climb to his feet. Back from the dead!

Of course, there was a LOT of backlash to this stunt. People in the comments section questioned this husband's sanity or said he should probably leave this bride to be.

But actually, as the groom himself revealed in a follow-up video, there was no bride at all, and he planned this for a reason.

In an update video, user jaydewayne.ky (right) made a video with his husband (left) explaining why they pulled off the stunt.

They made the video as newlyweds, sitting side by side. In a video titled “Explaining why the casket,” jaydewayne.ky's spouse explained that he wanted to use a casket in the wedding because the old him is dead now. Jaydewayne.ky added that he didn't know about the stunt beforehand. The couple clarified, “There's no bride in the casket 'cause we gay as h***.”

In the video, the couple shared that they're venue owners, so arriving in a coffin would ensure that they did “something different.”

Jaydewayne.ky's husband did show off a photo that he claimed was taken inside the coffin. Indeed, the photo does show a man in a white and black tux, just like the one in the video. He and his husband added a bunch of details as well, like the amount of people at their wedding. They certainly had an unforgettable and very unique wedding - just like they wanted.

Watch the two videos below and see for yourself the crazy coffin wedding saga!
