Raising a puppy is hard work, anybody who has ever done it know that is a guarantee. That's why it is important to make sure you are ready to dedicate yourself to a creature like that. How much should you dedicate is what's up for debate in one woman's comment section. She simply took to her social media as an outlet to let out her anger after finding her home completely destroyed by her puppy. She had left him created while she was at work, but he escaped. Now, the comment section is deep in debate about whether you should even adopt a dog if you work an 8-hour shift…

The TikToker @itslizann27 came home from work and found absolutely everything in her home completely destroyed. Her mattress was toppled over and torn to shreds, her clothes and shoes were totally devoured and everything she owned was thrown about as if a tornado came through. Her puppy, Astro, that she had left in his crate as she went to work, escaped and turned his destruction level up to 100.
Now, people in the comment section of her video are at each others' throats about who was at fault here. Some blame the dog owner, saying she shouldn't have gotten a puppy if she couldn't be with him all day. Others side with the dog owner and say that's just how puppies are sometimes.
Many people went straight to faulting the dog owner without asking any further questions on the situation at hand. They say if the dog is acting out in this way, it has to be because the owner isn't giving it enough stimulation, attention, or training.
However, the dog owner kept reiterating to commenters that she actually usually takes him to doggy daycare, but they were unavailable to take him that day and none of her friends or family were able to watch him either. She had to go to work, so she chose to crate him.
Some people took the side of the dog owner and argued that it's elitist and privileged to say leaving your dog at home while you work for 8-hours is abuse. They agree that you should still train your dog to be comfortable being crated and alone, but you live and you learn as a dog owner. And if dogs weren't able to be home alone for 8 hours it would mean only the rich who can afford daily doggy daycare or people who are always home can have dogs. They say that with all the homeless dogs out there in need of a loving home, it's cruel to even suggest a working person can't have a dog.
