Not to disrespect your music taste, but apparently cats hate whatever you're listening to. It doesn't matter what it is, they hate all genre… Well, except one. Apparently, cats don't like our music because it isn't composed in a way for them to process it clearly. So composer David Teie went straight to work and created music that is in both the same "tempo and frequency" that cats use when they communicate with each other.
Cat parents are now sharing videos of how their cats react to the sound, and it is mixed reviews. There are many cats who seem to be calmed by the music, purring, and going straight into the comfiest cat nap ever. While others seem to be catapulted into an existential crisis while listening to the music, with their eyes growing wider and wider and their ears twitching along to the melody. One guy even commented that he played the music for his cats and they went into freak out mode and jumped on him. So, just like with humans, every cat is going to have their own unique reaction to the music. But consensus so far agrees that the David Teie cat music will evoke at least some sort of reaction. We pulled some feline friends reacting to it below.
