Choosing your favorite animal is not something to take lightly. If you choose wrong, you will suffer the consequences. I know that this seems only relevant to people under the age of 8, but I'm sure many of you adults know this story well. When you're a little kid, you brandish your favorite animal to everyone you know. Once adults know that's your favorite animal, they run with it. You get things related to wolves, dogs, or ponies every birthday and Christmas. When you're under 10, that's no issue. It's lovely that you're getting exactly what you want. But if you are years into your adult life and your Uncle is still buying you wolf stuff, there's a big problem. If you're a distant family member of a young person, it's worth asking them if their favorite animal has changed since 2003. I'm sure they will deeply appreciate the effort.
