‘Whose notes are these?’: Student finds loophole in professor’s open-note exam policy, shares notes with the whole class

Some professors are brilliant, some are generous, and others are egomaniacs. In this instance, we have a situation where the lattermost type was ruling over the classroom. This thread was posted to Reddit's r/pettyrevenge subreddit, and let's just say that if you've ever had this type of professor in your lifetime, then you will understand this student's vindication all too well.

 

We're talking about that professor who refuses to stick to the course material and spends all of class time bragging about their professional accomplishments. However, when it comes time for exams, all that material that should have been addressed in the classroom is still somehow fair game on the exam. Rude! Well, this student found a loophole in his professor's open-note exam policy and double-checked that he could share his "study guide" with the whole class, thereby increasing the passing rate of the course that semester to 100%.
