Weekly Internet Roundup: Californian Hurricanes, Anti-Corn Couples, and Political Mugshots

Welcome to another edition of the roundup. If you were wondering whether the wider internet was still full of people being deranged and rabid sh*tposting, the answer is yes. No surprises there. Still, this is being done in slightly different ways to the previous week. Let's begin.

OUT: Panic Buying IN: Hurricane Water Slides

The west coast of the US was faced with some potentially historic weather conditions this week, when Hurricane Hillary threatened to become the first category 4 storm to ever hit the area. While some people were understandably freaked, plenty of others took this unique opportunity as a chance to enjoy some precipitation related entertainment. Californians faced accusations of not knowing how to act during such a dangerous event, with many setting up storm-powered water slides and visiting Disneyland at a time when they knew it was going to be quiet. The horrifying changes brought by global warming will be extensively televised (by silly online content).

New Layer of Sex Scene Discourse Discovered

There is a lady on TikTok who documents her life after her husband quit watching X-rated videos, and it's fair to say that her internet presence is quite something. She first attracted attention a few days ago after she went viral on Twitter for her ever so slightly deranged rundown of their “game plan” for watching Oppenheimer and its infamous Florence Pugh nude scene. Being ten months clean, there was no room for an accidental flash of boob here.

As if that wasn't eyebrow-raising enough, she further attracted the spotlight with a video meant to highlight her newfound close relationship with her man. However, most viewers were more concerned with how the baby of this couple was delightedly scrolling through one of their phones as he cradles her like a child. All totally fine and normal, I guess!

Mugshawtys Feature Incoming

It's been a huge few days for prominent political arrests, much to the pleasure of Twitter and beyond. As the legal battles around Donald Trump's alleged election fraud rattle on, we have been gifted with some truly iconic mugshots from some of the most notorious characters involved. First up was Rudy Giuliani, former lawyer for the ex-president who cemented his status as one of the most memeable New York mayors with his mournful photo.

We had to wait a little longer for the moment everybody was waiting for, and it's fair to say that Trump did not disappoint when it came time to be in front of the camera. The posting mileage on this one has longevity, so expect to see it around for at least the next few days.

Cheems, You Were a Good Meme

The internet said a formal goodbye to a meme icon over the weekend, when the Shiba Inu behind Doge spinoff Cheems passed away. Known as Balltze or Ball Ball in real life, he sadly died due to surgery complications last Friday. The one positive to come out of this is that it allowed his fans to revisit some of the many impactful memes that he inspired. Here's hoping there's a Horny Jail in heaven that he can send people to.

That's everything we have the bandwidth to summarize this week. I'm sure it won't take long for a truckload of other viral ridiculousness to come along and replace it. See you next time.
