As a parent you want to teach your children to turn the other cheek; to not give into petty squabbles because you want them to be above that kind of negativity. All a grudge does it make you feel worse and does nothing to your "enemy." However, that is easier said than done. We are all humans who feel real human emotions, and some of those emotions are frustration and anger. If someone is being a complete jerk to you, it's very hard to just "ignore" them. The desire to feel justice is very very strong.
As a 10-year-old you already know that you shouldn't seek any sort of petty revenge, but also as a 10-year-old you have an inescapable urge to rebel. (This is actually an important part in adolescent development, but that's another read.) So when this now-adult 10-year-old saw a chance for payback, he took it without thinking twice. The OP posted on Reddit about back in the early 2000s when he was 10. He and his family lived next to a male-Karen who was always creating situations with them. He had a yappy dog who he would just leave alone in his yard all day, he would yell at the kids for a ball accidentally making it into his yard, and he would accuse his father of petty things that he didn't do. One of this 10-year-old's chores was to clean up the family dog's poo in the yard. However, after one especially rude interaction between his family and the Karen neighbor, he decided that the best way to clean up the dog's stuff was to fling it into the neighbor's yard.
He was afraid he would be caught, but instead, the neighbor thought it was all done by his own little yappy dog, even though they were much too big for that dog since OP's dog was a large do. The Karen neighbor proceeded to clean up all the poo and never suspected a thing. The satisfied 10-year-old just sat back and watched as the Karen neighbor did his dirty work. What kind of lesson did this teach? Probably not the best one, but something about justice maybe? Or maybe just that if you're gonna Karen around, you're gonna find out.
