I've noticed people have been turning sour on the term "girlfriend" over the past couple of years, and by people, I mean millennials. I don't mean to hate on millennials, but they often use the word "partner" to refer to their girlfriend or boyfriend, and I don't particularly have a problem with that. However, I think their common reason for using the term partner could not be lamer. I have heard many millennials say that "boyfriend" and "girlfriend" sounds too immature for them. They think it makes them sound like a teenager, which I find ridiculous. Anyone of any age can have a girlfriend. Having a girlfriend is a rad feat at any age.
