When you're in high school getting bullied, all you think about is leaving that place and growing up where everyone is a mature adult. However, as the many stories on the internet will prove to you, there are also many bullies out in the "adult" world. You'd think some things have to change, but I guess that's just not the case.
One woman, u/DenniseDenephew on Reddit, was bullied so incessantly at work that she finally decided to quit. She writes that she loved her team, but there was one specific coworker who made her workdays the worst. She quit hoping to stay on good grounds with the company and get freelance from them. But this office bully talked so much trash about her that they never reached out to her again. All because he accused her of writing a mean Glassdoor review of the company, even though she proved to him several times that it was, in fact, not her.
She left feeling salty that this bully was still there working with people she had considered her friends, probably still bad-mouthing her. But, alas, she still moved on with her life, eventually getting a better job she was much happier at. However, as fate would have it, one day, she was out with her husband getting dinner, and she spotted her old office bully. He seemed to be on a date, and OP was feeling confident. So she approached him and said hi.
He instantly had fear on his face but said hi back, and when his date asked how they knew each other, he just said they used to work together. That wasn't enough for OP, so she added the part explaining that, yes, they used to work together, but that he specifically was her workplace bully and made her career suffer. She also made sure to put the cherry on top, asking him if this was the girl that she was just hearing about last week that he was dating (even though she knew it was not). You can imagine how the rest of that conversation goes. It was just justice served *chef's kiss*! You gotta read the entire story below; it truly made my day.
