Airbnb in Scotland Splits Opinion After Recreating Shrek's Swamp as a "Luxury Getaway"
Airbnb is far from a perfect company, and there are many valid criticisms to be made about it. However, one of its undeniable benefits is that it allows the adventurous traveling public to rent out places that are a real experience. From houseboats to treehouses, there's something for everyone — but all pale in comparison to a recent edition to be found in the Scottish Highlands. From the middle of October, a faithful recreation of Shrek's swamp will be available to rent as a "luxury getaway" for dedicated ogre fans.
Predictably enough, when people on Twitter heard the news they had plenty to say about this unusual vacation. It's fair to say that Shrek himself would not be happy about numerous strangers staying at his humble home, but that doesn't seem to be detracting from the idea for potential visitors. We've got to say it would make an interesting honeymoon option.
