It's no secret that navigating relationships with our in-laws is not always easy. In fact, it's quite a challenge. Our relationships with our parents-in-law are oftentimes complex and filled with miscommunication, uncertainties, and power struggles. Based on all the Reddit stories we've read this year, it's safe to say that a lot of parents-in-law come across as entitled or authoritative, making it nearly impossible to establish a connection. Now, I'm not an expert, but it does seem to stem from their strong attachment to their children (our partners) and the belief that they know what's best for everyone involved.
But what happens when the table is turned and it's the kids-in-law stirring up trouble? Well, that's exactly what today's Reddit piece is about. The highlight is on OP, a mother-in-law coming to Reddit to rant about her entitled daughter-in-law who flat-out demanded she be gifted an heirloom from her personal collection. I mean… the audacity.
