'That should be the end of Christmas presents for her': Niece reacts to grandmother's presents that 'aren't what I asked for'

This kiddo is all but guaranteed to wake up with coal in her stocking next Christmas.

Every generation eventually finds themselves wondering about the kids these days. They're living out such a different version of childhood than the one you had while growing up. No matter which generation you're from, you probably spent it in entirely different ways than someone who's 20 or 30 years your senior. Older generations grew up in an era where you spent all day outside, and when televisions had three channels and stopped broadcasting at night. That's vastly different from people a few generations later, who grew up with gaming consoles and protective parents who planned playdates instead of letting their kids roam as freely.

Today's children are no exception. They're among the first generations who have been born entirely into an internet age. If iPads were around when you were little, you'd probably be glued to them too! Teachers have been taking to social media to warn about the negative behaviors they're seeing in today's young people. A lot of teachers claim that these kids are totally ungovernable, and that the parents will always side with their children on any issue. It's an issue around these kids feeling entitled to do whatever they want, whenever they want. And, like this young person below, they feel like they can speak to adults without an ounce of respect.

This person, u/AshleyLouWho, shared a fascinating text exchange between a niece and her grandmother. The kid doesn't seem to have any empathy or gratitude to spare for poor grandma. Commenters were outraged, and offered their wisdom on the best ways to make this spoiled youngster understand the harshness of her words.
