This one goes out to all the cat haters who think that cats don't actually love their owners. We cannot believe that it is already 2024, and there are still people out there who think that cats are aloof and uncaring and only tolerate us because we give them food. We know, as cat owners, that there is nothing further from the truth. Cats love their humans. You just need to be able to read the signs and appreciate them.
Sometimes, cats show their love for their humans in the "regular ways" - with close proximity and contact and slow blinks. But other times, cats show their love in funny ways - funny and unexpected and totally heartwarming. But regardless of how they express their love, one thing is always true, and that is that when you need your cats the most, they will be there for you, doing whatever they can to make you feel better.

It's the way that they just… know that gets to us the most. Yes, most of the time they're ignoring us and making fun of us and trying to get us to wake up at five in the morning to feed the, and yes, we joke about how silly and annoying they are all the time, but goodness, it's so worth it. There is nothing quite like the love of a cat.

There isn't. Because when we need them - when we truly need them - they will be there for us. In whatever way that they are able to, doing whatever they can, they will. They will do everything in their power to give back to us. They always do.
