'Everybody called him gay so he just rolled with it': Boyfriend Breaks Up With Partner After Overnight Realization That He Is Secretly Straight

We've heard of people waking up and realizing that they are gay before, but realizing that they are straight? Unheard of! And yet, apparently, it happens. It also happens, apparently, on Valentine's Day. Arguably the worst day to be broken up with, other than your birthday, one guy got broken up with by his (now ex) partner after suddenly realizing that he "couldn't do this anymore" and was living a lie, that he was secretly straight. Way to flip the script!

Of course, we do believe this is possible, but it's most likely outside factors coming into play here, like internalized homophobia or pressure from religious backgrounds or family. We support this man following his heart, if that's truly what we're doing, but we've never seen anyone willingly choose to be gay because "everyone just assumed and he just rolled with it", and all the hardships that come with being LGBTQ in a heteronormative world.
