This week, a boyfriend who did this took to Reddit to ask users what they thought of his actions. He claimed he wasn't fussed if he did or didn't get the job and didn't see the point of telling his girlfriend. When he did end up telling her she was very upset and said she felt betrayed by his actions and secrecy.
