Family dynamics in the wild can be kind of… wild, you know? It's a scary world out there. Animal pregnancies are incredible but dangerous, animal mommas have to be stern with their babies to keep them in line, little itty bitty animals have to stand up to large predators to protect themselves, food is not easily available in stores and has to sometimes be fought for- life in the wild is hard, and animals, especially young ones, have to rely on their parents to keep them safe.
The thing is though that sometimes, at their most vulnerable, animal moms have to separate their kids from the fathers, because at such a young age, the fathers may be too much for the babies to handle. That's how we end up with videos like this one - a video of a tiger cub meeting her dad for the very first time. She's cautious when she's approaching this massive predator - tigers are not exactly pack animals - but she has nothing to worry about. After all, he's still her dad.
