Pallets may be heavy, but so is the weight of anti-authority malicious compliance.
The temp server in our next story was accustomed to taking on part-time gigs serving coffee and working light catering jobs. For years, u/Kyra_Heiker, the original poster (OP) of this tale, had enjoyed the labor-light employment from their temp gig, and since they had bad knees and a lingering back injury, it was the perfect job! However, after being placed under one particularly nasty supervisor, they decided to clarify the boundaries of their contract.
On the event day, the supervisor demanded that OP start unloading heavy pallets from the delivery truck, insisting they had nothing better to do. Due to their physical limitations, and stipulations in their contract, OP decided to comply with the supervisor's orders–albeit maliciously.
