Let these stories serve as a friendly reminder to read up on tenant rights in your states if you also have a landlord who is either too invasive or one who refuses to acknowledge an unlivable situation. Personally speaking, I've had both extremes. I once had a landlord who enjoyed dropping by back when I was a college student; clearly, she did not trust us to be good tenants despite the fact that we never caused issues and always paid our rent on time. Then, there was the landlord in my first adult apartment who ignored a roach infestation and a ceiling that always leaked. Good times, man.
