Toxicologist gets recruited for the job they just quit: 'This position was clearly listed on my profile'

Imagine feeling the sweet relief of quitting your horrible job only to receive a message online soon thereafter asking if you'd like to be considered… for the position you just left.

This complete lack of due diligence can be disheartening, to say the least. We expect recruiters to do the bare minimum and browse the resumes and experiences of job candidates that have been so clearly spelled out for them on their LinkedIn profiles. If those basic expectations were met, then this recruiter would have seen that the Redditor had literally just worked at the same company in the same positions. It's not like it was even a job they held a long time ago either. This lazy recruiter didn't even have to scroll down very much!

This story unfortunately confirms what many of us are likely thinking, which is that there are just as many incompetent recruiters as there are incompetent individuals in other positions, and yet they can hold immense power in the job application process. Here's hoping this Redditor gave the recruiter a piece of their mind.
