Woman’s In-Laws Expect Her to Host Both Thanksgiving and Christmas Dinners Despite Going Through Difficult Postpartum Period

Welcome, lurkin' ladies. Put yourself in this scenario: you just had a baby, you are dealing with a difficult postpartum period, and the holidays are coming up. Which do you prefer - to host the holiday feasts at your home or to attend them elsewhere? There is no right or wrong answer; everyone has a preference and a scenario that they are more comfortable with. For some people, hosting would be much easier. Perhaps cooking comes naturally to them, so preparing a holiday dinner does not seem so daunting. They also might prefer keeping their newborn home in a familiar environment. Other people, who find hosting overwhelming, would likely prefer to attend a holiday party elsewhere.
