There are many ways to describe the unique appeal that Reddit has to people, but perhaps one of the most convincing is that it is very human. It's a place to discuss ideas, advice, or even jokes, and to share one's interests with the world. It is also notorious for revealing the good, the bad, and the ugly of Redditors the world over, and that can be mighty entertaining (when it's not slightly worrying). For better or worse, Reddit is one of those platforms where we are exposed to a true spectrum of viewpoints and ways of life that we may never have otherwise come across. The best we can do is cherrypick the best bits and enjoy them in isolation, so as not to get sucked into the vortex of neverending Redditor drama and sorting by 'Most Controversial'. It's all too easy to find yourself going down that path.
