Woman Slandered by Mother-in-Law to Husband's Family After Posting a Picture of Herself in a Witch Costume, Relatives Reach Out in Concern Over His Spiritual Well-Being

Welcome, web-surfin' ladies. We've all read about or watched media related to the witch hunts of the middle ages and the 1600s. While it is easy to get swept up in the spooky romanticism of it all, it really was a dangerous time for women. Being on somebody's bad side, knowing home remedies to minor injuries, and being too independent could get you accused of witchcraft and sent to an early grave in the most gruesome of ways. 

While we don't burn people at the stake anymore, witch hunts are apparently still a thing in the 21st century. In our story today, our protagonist is accused of witchcraft by her meddling mother-in-law. To be fair, our protagonist was wearing a witch costume, and her husband was wearing a shirt that read, "I'm with the witch." Not seeming to understand the concept of Halloween, MIL proceeds to spread rumors that our protagonist is an actual witch that has bewitched her precious son.
