A band of petty teen girls. I don't know if this counts as petty or just me and my friends being annoying but here we go.
  • 03
My school has a slight record for being very sexist. There are a lot of very strict and dumb rules in place and a lot of the male authority figures are very sexist or just straight up p the girls. to

One example of this is the football coach. We'll call him Mr.J. Me and 3 of my friends (all females) were sitting in class one day when the front office lady made an all call announcement over the speakers saying: "All boys who want to play football this year please report to the library"
  • 05
Girls are technically allowed to play football in my school but Mr.J has never once allowed one to make the team. Even the girls who were 10 times better than most of his football players. Many girls had tried, they all failed.
  • 06
Me and my friends decided to just be petty and go too. We all walked to the library, sat front and center and waited for Mr.J to start. He looked shocked when he saw us walk in and looked even more shocked when we started taking pamphlets and actually waiting for him to start.

He was visibly uncomfortable (which made us all very happy). We were all a couple feet away from him staring directly at him. We didn't take our eyes away from him the entire time and even asked follow up questions like "Are there special pads for girls?" "Is there a girls football locker room?" "Are girls actually going to be allowed to make the team this year?"
  • 08
Every time we asked a question he would act like he didn't hear us and move on to one of the boys.
  • 09
A week later we ALL showed up to tryouts, along with 8 other girls who agreed to do it just for and giggles.
  • 10
None of us made it but it was fun to watch the coach squirm uncontrollably every time one of us showed up the guys. Does this count as petty lol?

7cc7 At my high school (small, less than 400 total students) back in early 2000s, the excuse for not allowing girls. in football and wrestling were title IX. They claimed it wouldn't be fair to have girls have more sports because they had volleyball and

cheer. Not even competitive cheer, just football and basketball cheer. When asked about having male cheerleaders, title IX, can't allow.

laurabun136 My daughter tried out for, and made her middle school football team. I went to every practice they had and saw that she worked just as hard as most of the boys and better than some. But her coach pretty much admitted the only reason he put her on the team was because of Title IX. That

was hurtful to me because I know how much she wanted this. After one of the games, they did that walk past the other team so they can high five and shake hands with the other team, no hard feelings kind of deal. I was watching and after my daughter passed one of the other team's player, he looked back and said, "That was a

girl!" His eyes were just about bugging out of his head. She played for two years but decided not to try for the high school team, and I was glad because I don't think the older players would have treated her fairly.

MetallicJoe Bring it up to the news if you can. Sounds like a PR disaster for the school in the making

Sarcastic-Lemon Teenage girls are one of the most annoying subsets of human beings on Earth... I'm glad you're using your powers to take down the patriarchy

Contrantier This is WAY better than just petty. I wish it kept happening all the time till he was forced to pull his head out of his a and admit girls were allowed to make his team too, since you say there were a lot of girls better than the boys there.
