Welcome back ladies and gentlemen of the internet. The economy isn't what it used to be, and everyone is seeing the effects of that. For millennials and younger, the prospects of buying a home at any point in your life, much less when you're young, is typically far beyond the reach of most people. You could work from 18, spend frugally, and put all your money into savings, and still you probably won't have nearly enough to own a home one day. If you come from money, and you started making a lot in a career right after college, you might be able to save enough for something in a less populated area. Rich states? Out of the question. 

If you do manage to buy your own place, it's an incredible achievement that is nowhere near easy. That's why the original poster (OP) in this story is so upset when his parents try to move into his home. He buys his first house at 34, and before he can enjoy the benefits of his hard work, his parents ruin his fun, and demand to move in too.
